Research and Design of Computer Systems

The discipline “Research and Design of Computer Systems” belongs to the professional and practical training of Master’s students in specialty 8.05010201 “Computer Systems and Networks”. It is based on the material of the following disciplines: NF-07 – “Computer Logic”, NP-02 – “Computer Electronics”, ZP-06 – “Computer Circuit Design”, NP-04 – “Computer Architecture”, “Parallel and Distributed Computing”, ZP-08 – “Peripheral Devices”, NP-05 – “Computer Networks”, “Computer Systems”, ZP-10 – “Information Security in Computer Systems”, NP-04 – “Operating Systems”, ZP-04 – “System Programming”.

The aim and main objectives of the academic module are to study the fundamentals of the theory of digital computing systems, methods for designing multiprocessor computing systems (MCS), approaches for evaluating their technical and economic performance indicators, as well as to acquire knowledge, skills, and competencies in developing MCS hardware using modern electronic components.
