The aim of the course “Operating Systems (OS)” is:

  1. to study the principles of organizing computational processes in computing systems, complexes, and networks;
  2. to study the principles of task planning, distribution, and execution in modern computing systems;
  3. to study the main functional and structural components of operating systems in complex computing systems operating in different user interaction modes during organization and scheduling;
  4. to study the operation and interaction of core OS programs in organizing computational processes;
  5. to study the principles of designing operating systems for computing systems of various purposes;
  6. to study the principles of OS design.
