The aim of the course “Operating Systems” is:
1. To study the principles of organizing computational processes in computing systems, complexes, and networks.
2. To study the principles of task scheduling, distribution, and execution in modern computing systems.
3. To study the main functional and structural components of operating systems in complex computing systems operating in different user interaction modes, including their organization and scheduling.
4. To study the operation and interaction of main OS programs in computing systems during the organization of computational processes.
5. To study the principles of building operating systems for various types of computing systems.
6. To study the principles of operating system design.
