On September 22, a ceremonial opening of the “KPIskelia” climbing gym took place at the sports complex of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. It will serve as a training base not only for the Kyiv Polytechnic university team – all interested students and visitors will be able to practice climbing there.

The initiative to create the training facility was led by university staff member Yevhen Kozak and his like-minded colleagues. To bring the idea to life, the enthusiasts used the “Public Budget – 2017” platform for implementing urban improvement projects and became one of its winners, receiving 210,000 UAH. With these funds, together with the Solomianskyi District State Administration, a climbing mat, soft furniture, an audio system, and part of the climbing holds were purchased.
