The discipline “Global Computer Networks” is designed to study data transmission technologies in global networks, with a particular focus on multimedia data transmission over the Internet.
The aim of the course “Global Computer Networks” is:
- to study data transmission technologies in global computer networks;
- to study tools for modeling processes in global networks;
- to study application-layer protocols of the TCP/IP stack;
- to study mechanisms for ensuring QoS (Quality of Service) in multimedia data transmission;
- to study methods for ensuring fault tolerance of network services.
