The discipline “Database Organization” is designed to study methods and tools for organizing and using information support within the design, implementation, and use of application information systems. The course is based on the discipline “Programming”.
The aim of studying the course “Database Organization” is:
• to study the principles of designing and building information support for application information systems;
• to study methods and tools for analyzing the subject area and building a conceptual data model;
• to study methods and tools for building a logical (data-logical) data model based on the conceptual model;
• to study the data definition language within the Structured Query Language (SQL);
• to study methods and tools for data manipulation;
• to study the principles of software organization of database management systems (DBMS);
• to acquire practical skills in designing, developing, and using information support.
