Computer Architecture-1. Arithmetic and control units

The aim and main objectives of the course are to study the architecture of computers for various purposes, the fundamentals of organizing computational processes in computers, the distribution of functions between software and hardware, the principles and methods of building hardware and software components of computers, methods for evaluating their technical and economic performance indicators, the functional hierarchy of computer hardware, the modern computer landscape, and the history of computer development, as well as to acquire knowledge, skills, and competencies in designing computer architectures for various purposes and evaluating their efficiency.
