The purpose of studying the course “Distributed Information Systems” is to:
- study the principles of designing and building corporate-level distributed information systems;
- study the pattern-based approach to designing enterprise applications and the Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) platform;
- study methods and tools for data processing using technologies based on the XML language;
- study the principles of interaction between enterprise applications and database management systems (DBMS);
- study methods and tools for implementing a component-based approach to building enterprise applications within the Java EE platform;
- acquire practical skills in designing, developing, and using enterprise applications on the Java EE platform.
