Computer Networks

The credit module is intended for studying methods and tools for organizing and building computer networks.

The learning material of the module includes 5 logically connected sections:

• Network technologies
• Architecture of local area networks (LANs)
• Ethernet network (IEEE 802.3 standard)
• Token-passing networks
• Mobile computer networks

This structure is intended to provide a step-by-step preparation of students for studying the principles of design, operation, and maintenance of local networks. The material gradually increases in volume and complexity, starting from the basics of simple computer networks and progressing to complex network structures. This approach helps improve knowledge acquisition and develop practical skills in computer networking for future IT specialists.
