A trade union (labor union) is a voluntary, non-profit public organization that unites citizens connected by common interests based on the nature of their professional (labor) activity (studies). A primary trade union organization is a voluntary association of trade union members who, as a rule, work at the same enterprise, institution, or organization, regardless of the form of ownership and type of economic activity, or for an individual who uses hired labor, or who are self-employed, or who study at the same educational institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A primary trade union organization is established in an institution, organization, enterprise, or educational institution if there are at least 3 trade union members or 3 employees who wish to form a trade union organization. The primary trade union organization notifies the relevant territorial justice body and the employer of its trade union affiliation. The primary trade union organization is guided in its activities by current legislation, the requirements of the Trade Union Charter, policy documents, and decisions of trade union bodies. The supreme body of the primary trade union organization is the meeting (conference) of Trade Union members. Trade union meetings (conferences) are held as necessary, but at least twice a year, within the timeframes determined by the trade union committee or a higher trade union body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Primary Trade Union Organization of Employees of the National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’ <\/strong>is a voluntary association of university employees who have declared their membership. The supreme body of the primary trade union organization is its conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
