On July 29, 2026, a ceremonial diploma awarding ceremony for the graduates of the Department of Computer Engineering of the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science was held in the Academic Council Hall of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
The event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, followed by a minute of silence to honor the memory of the Ukrainian defenders and all those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
The graduates were warmly congratulated by Serhii Hryhorovych Stirenko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Vice-Rector for Research at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, and Artem Mykolayovych Volokyta, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science, and Acting Head of the Department of Computer Engineering.
Congratulations were also delivered by Yaroslav Ihorovych Karnaha, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science; Volodymyr Mykolayovych Shymkovych, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Deputy Dean of the Faculty; and Mykhailo Anatoliiovych Novotarskyi, Doctor of Technical Sciences and Professor. In their speeches, they congratulated the graduates on reaching this important milestone, wished them professional growth, the courage to pursue their ideas, a lifelong passion for learning, and success in all their future endeavors.
The most anticipated part of the ceremony was the presentation of diplomas. For every graduate, this day symbolized years of dedication, acquired knowledge, new opportunities, and the beginning of a new professional journey.
The ceremony concluded with the performance of the traditional student anthem, “Gaudeamus Igitur” (“Let Us Rejoice”), which has united students around the world for centuries and symbolizes respect for knowledge, academic traditions, and youth.
